On 26th February, our school held a Medieval Festival. Group 6 a and their teachers Ms. Anna Dryniak, Ms. Jolanta Kawalec and Mr. Henry Dryniak prepared a traditional medieval stall, where you could
enjoy delicious gingerbread with honey and freshly baked bread.
Younger pupils
of Class 3c with their teacher Ms. Ewa Fida danced court dance in the beautiful costumes.
Ms.Kawalec our librarian read the legend of medieval times in Przemyśl.
Pupils shared
bread and honey with others.
Three exhibitions accompanied the festival: models
of medieval castles made by pupils with some help of parents and grandparents
as part of History project. Pupils were using different techniques and
materials.
The second exhibition was about medieval books and beautifully
designed initials. And the third one about stained glass windows made of tissue
paper.
Next day thanks to Mrs. Elizabeth Oleszek (history teacher)
we had “the real” knights, students from the High School in Przemysl. The reconstruction presented by them was attended by about 90 students! Children had the opportunity to
see the chivalrous tradition, customs, dress and weapons coming from that historical period. Some pupils could be a knight for a moment, which turned out to be a real fun!
